What Is Eastern Iowa STC?
Mission
The mission of the Eastern Iowa Chapter of STC is to provide professional, social, and community service activities for technical communicators in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Waterloo, Dubuque, and the surrounding areas.
The Eastern Iowa Chapter of STC began in 1991 as a chapter of a greater (national) Society for Technical Communication (STC). As the Society evolved, so did the chapter. STC is now an international organization, the largest professional society in the world dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practice of technical communication.
Our chapter offers industry leadership and the education, networking, and information required in a world where change is "the way it is."
